about the winery:
“n 2004, Leah made her way out west to her father’s home state of Oregon to attend a highly coveted wine industry event – Oregon Pinot Camp. Within hours of her visit in the Willamette Valley, she found a way back to the Pacific Northwest to work where her great-grandparents had settled and farmed. She has worked for pioneering wineries including Erath Vineyards, Adelsheim Vineyard, and Ste. Michelle Wine Estates as a sales, marketing and communications expert before leaving behind administrative offices for the lure of the cellar. Leah finds her inspiration in her father’s farming heritage rooted in Denmark and Norway, and her mother’s winemaking heritage rooted in Italy and Austria. Leah specializes in the production of Cabernet Franc, what she calls the ultimate Cinderella grape...”
tasting notes:
2020 rosé of cabernet franc
Dry, bright, slightly savory, pink grapefruit, herbal & umami flavors, fresh flowers, cotton candy & citrus aromas, a bit of texture on the finish.
2019 Oregon “tour rain” vin rouge
A lovely balance of floral, red fruits, a hint of pepper & sweet wood on the palate and the nose. Bright acidity, juicy, soft tannins. Light, lithe & flirty.
