Our Winery of the Month for August is Ricochet Wine Company Ricochet who makes up to 12 tons (still super tiny, relative to the world of wineries), including Pinot Noir, Tempranillo, Mourvedre Rose, Pinot Blanc, Gruner Veltliner, and a bubbly Pet-Nat.
We will be hosting a Six Feet Apart Tasting of their wine at Red Hills Market on FRIDAY, AUGUST 13 FROM 12 - 3 PM
about the winery:
“The Ricochet Wine Company was founded because to advance two agendas:
Make killer, authentic, sophisticated, and honest wine that is accessible to a wide spectrum of folks. Wine is community, after all.
Give back to the community by donating 5% of sales to local and regional non-profit organizations that specialize in areas that help people bounce back from difficult situations. Again, wine is community.”
tasting notes:
ricochet red blend
2/3 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir, 1/3 Rogue Valley fruit. Gently crushed & wild fermented, unfined & always unfiltered, aged in neutral french oak.
ricochet rosé
100% Mourvedre, gorgeous fruit, gently pressed & allowed to naturally ferment and complete. Notes of strawberry, kiwi, and watermelon, with a nice "grip" on the finish
