Our Winery of the Month for August is Ricochet Wine Company. The name Ricochet is based on the concept of bouncing back - not always in a predictable direction or velocity, but there’s a bounce off a wall, figuratively or otherwise. Life is full of metaphoric ricochets.

2021 "Confluence" Rosé
A field blend of Syrah, Malbec and Viognier sourced from Moody Vineyards in the Columbia Gorge, at the confluence of the Deschutes and Columbia Rivers. Fruit forward. Structured. Long, bright and crisp finish. Perfect for any occasion. Only 185 cases produced.
2021 Ricochet Red Blend
A true Oregon wine, composed of Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley, and Tempranillo (and some Mourvedre) from the Rogue Valley. Minimum sulfur. No additives or enzymes. Unfined and unfiltered, as always. Six months in neutral barrel. Ready to drink for the next BBQ or movie night!
about the winery:
Ricochet was founded on a lark in 2018. Only two tons processed–a ton of pinot noir; a ton of gruner veltliner. Now, Ricochet is up to 12 tons (still super tiny, relative to the world of wineries), producing Pinot Noir, Tempranillo, Mourvedre Rose, Pinot Blanc, Gruner Veltliner, and a bubbly Pet-Nat.
The Ricochet Wine Company was founded to advance two agendas:
Make killer, authentic, sophisticated, and honest wine that is accessible to a wide spectrum of folks. Wine is community, after all.
Give back to the community by donating 5% of sales to local and regional non-profit organizations that specialize in areas that help people bounce back from difficult situations. Again, wine is community.
