We are thrilled to have Flâneur Wines as our August winery of the month! We will be featuring their delicious 2017 Willamette Valley Chardonnay by the glass through August 31. Join us on August 9 for a special tasting and pairing bite from 4-7 pm.
To learn more about Flâneur Wines, visit their website. In the meantime, here are some fun facts about Flâneur Wines:
Winemaker, Grant Coulter, was previously the head winemaker at Beaux Freres before joining Flâneur
Flâneur started making wine in 2013
They’re currently renovating the Grain Elevator in Carlton to be their hospitality venue, a tasting room and more, and are accepting reservations for the opening weekend this fall
Flâneur currently hosts enhanced tastings by appointment in The Back Room of our tasting room, which is temporarily at the old Grain Elevator feed store (the old Scott Paul space), and guests can come by anytime 11 am -5 pm seven days a week for a classic appointment at the same location (no appointment necessary/walk in friendly)
They also host tastings at one of their estate vineyards, La Belle Promenade, which is in the Chehalem Mountains
They are now only working with estate fruit!
Both estates are dry farmed and organically farmed (and they’re about half of the way into certification for that)
They have their own dedicated vineyard crew, which is super unique - a team solely devoted to their two sites year round.
